Why Tallow for Eczema & Irritated Skin?
Tallow is one of the most skin-compatible fats available. It closely resembles our skin’s natural oils, making it deeply moisturizing without clogging pores.

Benefits of tallow for skin:
Supports the skin barrier
Helps calm inflammation
Locks in moisture
Gentle enough for sensitive or compromised skin
When paired with the right herbs, oils, and minerals, tallow becomes a powerhouse healing cream.
🌿 Recipe #1: Herbal Tallow Cream for Eczema & Psoriasis
This recipe focuses on herbal infusions and calming botanicals to soothe inflammation, redness, and itching.
Ingredients
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
2 Tbsp Echinacea oil (infused in olive oil)
2 Tbsp Dandelion root oil (infused in castor oil)
2 tsp Lavender infused extract (vodka-based)
1 Tbsp Almond Oil
½ Tbsp Tea Tree Essential Oil
1 Tbsp Vitamin E
1 tsp Chamomile Essential Oil
½ tsp Jasmine
2 cups Rendered Tallow
Why These Ingredients Work
Echinacea & Dandelion support skin repair and calm inflammation
Lavender & Chamomile soothe irritated, reactive skin
Tea Tree offers gentle antimicrobial support
Vitamin E helps nourish and protect damaged skin

Instructions
Melt the tallow slowly using a double boiler on low heat.
Add coconut oil, almond oil, infused oils, and vitamin E. Stir gently.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Add essential oils and lavender extract.
Whip with a hand mixer until fluffy, or pour into jars for a balm-style cream.
Store in a cool, dark place.
🧴 Recipe #2: Protective Zinc Tallow Cream (Diaper-Style Barrier Balm)
This second recipe creates a thicker, protective cream—perfect for severe eczema patches, flare-ups, or areas that need an extra barrier.

Ingredients
2 Tbsp Non-Nano Zinc Oxide
1 Tbsp Aloe Vera Powder
1 Tbsp Arrowroot Powder
1 tsp Kaolin Clay
1 Tbsp Castor Oil
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
2 cups Rendered Tallow
1 Tbsp Lavender Essential Oil
½ tsp Chamomile Essential Oil
1 tsp Vanilla
⅛ cup Melted Beeswax
Why This One Is Special
Zinc oxide provides a protective, soothing barrier
Aloe & clay calm irritation and absorb excess moisture
Beeswax seals everything in without suffocating the skin
Instructions
Melt tallow and beeswax together over low heat.
Stir in coconut oil and castor oil until fully blended.
Remove from heat and whisk in powders slowly to avoid clumps.
Add essential oils and vanilla.
Pour into jars and allow to fully set before use.
How to Use These Creams
Apply 1–2 times daily to clean, dry skin
Patch test first, especially for sensitive skin
A little goes a long way
⚠️ Always adjust essential oil amounts for children or ultra-sensitive skin.
